Hello my friend, this is looks like the windows is corrupted and your windows cannot boot ,maybe this is caused by a virus, you can try reinstalling the windows but i don't recommend it if its a virus problem.I recommend you formatting your computer or restore your laptop to factory settings. The last one it depends on laptop some have special restore partitions on the hard drive, usually you press alt+F10,F10,F11 or F12 after powering on the laptop, and it goes into a restore program that wipes your drive and returns the laptop back to the way it was when you first purchased it.
Note all your programs and data will be deleted if you restore the computer.

MSI U100 touchpad Solution

Click Start/Control Panel andlook for the Mouse and open it to check the mouse properties. Make sureyou don't have the touchpad disabled.

Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad on or off by clicking on thebutton that is located at the top of the touch pad in the middle.

Some models will allow you to toggle the touchpad by tapping twice in the upperleft hand corner of the touchpad.

Some models will require a keystroke to toggle the touchpad. Press andHold the ALT or FN function key located at the lower left portion of thekeyboard, then hit the key that toggles the touchpad. The correct key tohit will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square that represents thetouchpad.

Download and reinstall the touch pad drivers.Get online and got towww.google.com In the google search box type: "MSI Support"(without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Lookfor downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system whenrequested. Download and install the Touchpad drivers. If the touchpad still does not work after the above steps then maybe a virus or infection has hijacked the touchpad. Try booting into Safe Mode then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.
Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn itback on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFEMODE. Take the Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give youinternet connectivity) and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different toyou, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal. Open your internet browser, then download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.
Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When thesite opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the GuiInterface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version orDecline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run aQUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be inred. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad textdocument will open up showing you the results. You can close the textdocument and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTEDRESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When itfinishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot yourmachine.

Lewis:

First off, I am sorry that you are experiencing this problem. When you start the computer, hit the F8 key, this should take you to a menu that will ask you to start in Last known good configuration, start in safe mode, safe mode in networking, safe mode with command prompt, etc.

If you can get this screen, first try to start in last known good configuration. If that does not work, go thru the process again and see if you can start in safe mode.

Try this and let me know what happens.

I need to start my MSI U100 netbook in safemode, I do a hard shutdown and then repeatedly tap F8 while it is starting up. It will not start in safe mode, it simply displays a black screen with "F3....."...

i guess it is a key sequence, all pc 's are different mine goes into bios pages when F2 is pressed whilst booting and F9 when i want to reinstall the OS Dont know why you want "safe" mode or do you mean "standby" whereby you can still download with the lid closed --any how good luck!

Computer turns on to the windows screen and then a blue screen flashes too fast to read what it is saying. It then opens to a black screen with several options :open in safe mode, last known recovery, etc....

Usually blue screens are caused bu problems with hardware. Since the laptop was dropped, I would suggest opening the access doors and taking out each removable component and then reseating them back in their positions. It sounds like perhaps something has been jarred out of place such as a memory module, hard drive, etc. Start with those two and try to boot the laptop after each try.

Boot in Safe Mode with Networking: 1. Restart your computer.
2. Once your computer starts to turn on, press F8 (or for other computers, it could be F5) repeatedly until you see the boot option.
3. Using your arrow keys, highlight Safe mode with networking then press enter.
4. Log in as the Administrator.
5. Click on yes when it prompts you that you are running in safe mode.
6. Go to Control Panel then User Accounts, reset the password for your Windows User Account.
7. Restart the computer normally.

Windows will not open up

Insert your install disk and select Repair Windows. Hopefully, this will fix the start-up issue you are having, which may be linked to a driver or a multitude of other possible problems.
