First of all, the software for this cam is written for PC only, but the camera will operate pretty well without it.

You will need to upgrade to OS X 10.4.9 or higher, or download and install "ichatUSBCam" at this link... http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12294

10.4.9 and 10.4.10 will recognize the cam natively.

Problems installing logitech quickcam connect to apple mac 10.4

your cam needs to be setup with skype program
also when you installed software was cam unplugged
if so uninstall through add/remove tehn unplug restart and reinstall cam plug it in only afetr being instructed or on a restart after program is installed
you choose 32 or 64 depending on what you prefer

Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on
Audio Settings
and set the Microphone and Speakers
to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera if installed properly
will come up and show a picture.
Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.
please rate and please let me know if this has helped

Mac OS X Driver

Detailed Description This article covers whether a QuickCam work on a Macintosh computer.
trnsp.gif Answer This article applies to the following operating systems:
Mac OS 10.1.5 - 10.2.6
NOTE: Later versions of OSX are not supported by QuickCam.
To use a Logitech camera on your Mac OS X computer, please consider the following models: QuickCam Orbit, QuickCam Pro 4000, QuickCam Zoom P/N 961325-0403, the Pocket Digital and the Pocket Digital 130. The Logitech Pocket Digital 130 is supported natively, so all you have to do is plug it in. You can then use it in iPhoto™, a program that comes with Mac OS® X.
To use the Pocket Digital, you must install the Pocket Digital driver, available HERE. You can then use it in iPhoto™, a program that comes with Mac OS® X.
If you would like to use any of the other cameras mentioned, you must install QuickCam 8.0.1, included with the camera.
NOTE: QuickCam 8.0.1 should only be installed in Mac OS 10.1.5 - 10.2.6.
Mac OS 9 (OS 9.0.4 - 9.2.2)
To use a Logitech camera on your Mac OS 9 computer, please consider the following models: QuickCam Pro 3000®, QuickCam® Pro 4000 and the QuickCam® for Notebooks Pro. In order for these cameras to work, you must install QuickCam 5.0.1, which is included with the camera. It is also available HERE.

Installation of Logitech Quickcam on a mac laptop

I'm trying, too, to install Skype and Logitech on my MacBook Pro.  Microphone won't work, but I've been told that the Logitech software will correct this.  I need to know if it is mandatory to have Safari or .Mac or Mobile Me on the Mac to make it work.  Help, please?
