-   I have the same need - to open the boiler. After a cup of Espresso was made the maachine (knob) was left in the "on" position and now it will not heat water and the red light will only light in the steam position.

We have removed the "feet" on the bottom of the unit and found it requires a special security type screw driver which we will be obtaining and will advise further as we proceed.

We want to open to fix or replace the heating element and/or fuse.-   Ivans

-   I have the same problem. The steam just comes out from around the seal, it won't go through the coffee and into the little carafe. The frother works fine just won't make any expresso, just a bunch of steam into the air.

At first I thought the seal between the basket and the machine was shot or plugged up so I took the ***** out and cleaned the screen. A simple task and I thought great, **w finally a cup of coffee; wrong it made ** difference.

By the way I have 2 fnd1 and both have the same problem. I am going to take one apart and investigate. I'll post if I manage to fix it.-   Guest

-   I have the same problem. I pulled out all of the screws and still seems to internally snapped together. would like to use a saw to open it up.-   emurdock
