Question about Protron PLTV-37 37 in. LCD Television
You can have them repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new tv. My daughter broke my $1,600 LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one. After that I picked up a TV screen protector called TV Armor http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Now I dont have to worry anymore when she is playing near it. It works really well.

Nope, sorry. The LCD panel is a sealed unit. There is another issue with the Protrons. They use several different panels, most commonly CPT and AU Optronics in these sets. That means that the boards are not interchangable either. If yours is a 37C the firmware is on a chip that can be switched out, but if it is a 3750, the board has to be changed. I can sometimes get the screens for around $250 if you are interested. You may reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can tell you how to tell what panel is in your set.
