I had the same problem with my old razr (I got it in 2007) (hence a new one) and when I took it in they said that the sim card was not firmly in the slot it goes in. For the new phones (mine is a red V3xx) they fixed the problem and made the compartment more stable
....though I'm on her because my phone randomly shut off and now won't start...so I guess they still have kinks to work out. This is my 3rd razr and I should have never dropped and broke the first cause I'm realizing what a great phone it was.:0)

Razr v3 how to transfer phone# to sim card?

Go to your address book. Find the listing you want to transfer to your SIM card. Select it and then go to EDIT. Now scroll down to where it says STORE TO:
It will either say PHONE or SIM. If it says PHONE you will need to select CHANGE. This will allow you to select between PHONE and SIM. Change it to SIM and click on SELECT. It is now saved to your SIM card.
Have a great day!

Razr v3

Yes. Just buy a pay as you go sim card and pop it in the phone but if you buy as sim from another network you may need to get the phone unlocked. What I mean is, if you are on Orange, for example, you will be able to use an Orange pay as you go sim but if the new sim is from T-Mobile you might need to get your phone unlocked

Go to your settings, choose Initial Setup, choose Language and hope English is one of the options you can choose. My Razr is old so hopefully the options are still the same.

You will have to contact your mobile provider to have them assist you with unlocking the sim card or take the phone into them.
