Auto focus convergence on blue doesnt' work

I have a Samsung hcm422w. The blue gun is clearly not converging. Autofocus feature works fine on red gun, but doesn't do anything with blue. When I try manual convergence on blue, can't seem to get images to move.

"Perfect Focus" problem on Samsung HCN4727W

You have a bad sensor, a bad digital convergence board, or the new board is not working correctly. I would start by swaping out the convergence board or exchange it for another one. Good Luck

Sp43w6hp red gun convergence problem

Hi!
as i see in your comment.. you have defective convergence correction amplifier ICs. the RED GREEN and BLUE (RGB) is amplified by the STK ICs. your RED convergence is not working good in the STK ICs! Replace the STK ICs a new one to get back the normal colors. Thanks...

If the lines are slightly curved and stationary on about 2/3 of the screen its either the Blue CRT or the Blue CRT drive board which is having the problem.

Words are doubled red borders???

Just to clarify, it sounds like what you are saying is that the image appears to duplicate in either red or blue along the edges of the image (especially white lettering and probably increasing along the boarder of the TV). This is resolved by converging your TV. Convergence will drift normally on large screen projection TV's over time or through moving them. The Hitachi 57f500a has a feature called "Magic Focus" (pg 36 in your manual) which will auto converge the image. If the auto converge feature doesn't work, on page 37 in your manual, it explains how to converge manually. If you do not have the manual, I have the image of the pages below. If for some reason this doesn't work, please provide additional info and detailed prior to rating the help.

Convergence Problem

Perfect focus in these sets are dependant on factory or service mode calabration. once the unit is calabrated then those setings are stored to be the basis for perfect focus. The fact that you can manual converge the set is a good thing. probaly nothing phycially wrong with your set. However. what is needed is to get a qualified tech to look at your set and to calabrate the convergence.
