Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
I have recently purchased a second hand psp. However, it has a corrupt/unofficial firmware version 3.03 OE-C on it. When trying to download latest firmware the code (DADADADA) is displayed. I have tried to format memory stick and restore to factory settings, but this does not work. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as I have bought my son the new Ben 10 game for his birthday which, unless this problem is resolved, he will be unable to play. Many Thanks
Try to upgrade it 3.52 first and then jump to the latest 3.90. If you want to keep a CFW then check out http://www.dark-alex.org/ for more info.
Worst case you might have to 'unbrick' it with a Pandora's battery. See http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-pandora-discussion-207/t-guide-make-the-perfect-pandoras-battery-124530.html for a really good guide on how to make your own safely and the steps needed to 'unbrick' a corrupt PSP.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Good luck!
