HTR6230 turns itself off immediately after turning on power button.Removed all speakers and still have the same issue.

If the problem persists even after disconnecting all wires except power (so without speakers and without any inputs connected), then the receiver has probably internal shortcircuit and needs to be sent to a service for repair.

U line ice maker trips breaker

Something that powers up immediately, try any cooling fans or the solenoid. Easiest test is just disconnect anything non essential and turn on, if it doesnt trip, turn off, connect one thing and try againn. then connect one by one until it trips again and the last thing you plugged in will be faulty.

The stand by button is flashing and wont turn on

1. take out from supply ,by take out power cord from outlet
2 reconnect power suplly and switch on,manually if needed, and then do hard reset,as is written in factory manual ( turn back to factory settings)
3 if that not help ,disconnect last connected device,or all and try again
4 check one more time power line voltage on outlet, , voltage selector on back plate on device, and for test purpose only connect ur AV Receiver plug directlly to outlet, without any extension cords with other outlets or devices on them ,as that can be source of problem ,too.(power,or voltage drop bellow point that is needed for this power drawing device to be switched on)
5 also disconnect for test purpose dig coax, and or antenna is to disconnect all,and connect in directlly to power line outlet, and then to try hard reset to factory settings.

I disconected my receiver when connecting back did not work never acquire signal

The satellite in cables play a big role in a receiver getting signal. Since they were disconnected, verify the cables are both hand tight and everything is plugged in.

If the satellite was working before, but isn't after disconnecting there may be a connection problem in the line. At that point verify all the cables are tight, and you can also try swapping the Sat In cables around. The Sat In cables have to be in the correct port to work. Let me know if the problem continues!

What if went in safety mode, safety mode is froze in screen. Won't do anything

"Safety" mode - literally? I don't see that anywhere in the manual.

Speaker Connection Precautions

(North American and Taiwan models) You can connect speakers with an impedance of between 6 and 16 ohms. If you use speakers with a lower impedance, and use the amplifier at high volume levels for a long period of time, the built-in amp protection circuit may be activated.

Page 66

The STANDBY indicator flashes red

The protection circuit has been activated. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet immediately.

Disconnect all speaker cables and input sources, and leave the AV receiver with its power cord disconnected for 1 hour. After that, reconnect the power cord and set the volume to maximum. If the AV receiver stays on, set the volume to minimum, disconnect the power cord, and reconnect your speakers and input sources. If the AV receiver turns off when you set the volume to maximum, disconnect the power cord, and contact your Onkyo dealer.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

I disconnected the 322 to install a new TV1. TV2

You should have one line entering the home behind the TV1 attached to it there should be a device exactly as you saw outside. You will want the line from outside connected to the single port called in/out and the SAT port goes to the silver seperator. The two lines leaving the seperator attach to the SAT in on the receiver. The UHF poret on the device connects to the home distibution port on the receiver.

Thanks for using Fix YA.

Receiver powers on then shuts down. Any mode (CD AUX,VIDEO,etc) will cause same result. Sometimes FM mode will keep receiver on for longer. Once speakers are connceted, shut down happens no matter which...

If it's not happening when your speakers are disconnected, your problem is not in the receiver, it's either a wire touching at the terminals on the rear of the receiver, or a bad voice coil or crossover in your speaker. If you re connect the speakers and it immediately cuts out, disconnect all speakers and reconnect one by one testing the receiver each time until your receiver shuts off or remains on with all wires connected and you've fixed the problem. If it cuts out, disconnect the problem speaker at the speaker and test again. If it stays on, problem is in the speaker, if it still cuts out, problem is in the wire. Hope this helps. If you need further help, post a comment and I can help you troubleshoot some more.

Says "protected" & will not work

Disconnect all speaker wires then turn the receiver back on. If "Protect" does Not come on, re connect your speaker wires one by one, making sure all braids are twisted neatly and no longer than 1/2". Then turn the receiver back on after each speaker is connected to test. If all speakers are re connected and the receiver still plays, you got it! problem solved! (this is the most common problem) it happens to us all!. Now, if the receiver immediately goes into protection with all wires disconnected, it would actually be about the same cost to replace the unit as repair. Avg repair between 125-175. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions with troubleshooting, post a comment and I will help some more
