The lower burner in the oven of my Frigidaire Gallery Gas Range will not come on. The upper burner works fine.

The clicking sound is from the ignition, but you do not have gas at the burner, I think it could be thermocouple.

Hello Roy Gaudette - If you only have an issue with one burner lighting, then you might have a clogged valve. This is not something you should clean on your own if you have never done this before. I would contact a professional or your manufacturer first. You could also have a blocked or bad valve which would require a full repair service call.

If the bake setting is the only thing not working properly, you may have to replace that

When it doesn't heat up,
We have a Frigidaire Range model PLEF398CCC and, as many others here have mentioned, we saw the puff of smoke and the oven nor the front left burner works. The repairman has to replace a EOC on the back of the control panel and another one in the back on the bottom. The total cost for parts alone is $438 then add in the service call cost. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME we've had an EOC go bad for big bucks. The unit is about 5 years old. We're thinking of filling the landfill with it.

Suspect a bad oven element. Worse case is a bad oven relay on the clock control board.

I have found that kitchen cleanser and a crub pad along with good old fashioned elbow grease is your best bet...

The fine scratches might come out with a good rubbing compound like the type used on car finishes...

Oderless oven cleaner

i have an old model of the fridgedare gallery professional series stove. After self cleaning, the ignition sparks for the burners will not come off, they keep clicking and only stops when i pull out the plug. can you help me with this situation?

I have a frigeidaire classic gas range 12 years old worked fine until a pot of water leaked over the stove top burners. now the door locked lite is on and the door lock is activated , the oven door is open and won't close. The oven also does not work now, although the stove top burners work fine.
