I have an older Dell A920 printer. I recently hooked up a newer, refurbished computer in my bedroom ( it is a Dell, as well). I have been trying to hook up the printer to the computer all evening....the main cord & the USB, but no results with printouts. I'm frustrated cuz I wanted to print out a blank map of Canada for my daughter....it will NOT print. Do I have to install software in order to print? I thought simply connecting the cords would do it....I am computer illiterate unfortunately. HELP!!!I have an older Dell A920 printer. The main thing to know if it is a low shank or high shank machine. More than likely it is a low shank, so it will be easy to get a darning presser foot. Your machine will either be one that the feed dogs drop down or you will have a plate to cover the feed dogs because the feed dogs are not used for darning. Now the next thing, get an embroidery hoop to hold the article that you are going to darn, also some stabilizer material (tear away is great or use gift tissue paper) and you free style sew the holes. I think that you should look at your book to confirm what model you have. Amazon sells a darning foot for $12.99 or maybe a local shop can sell you a universal one that fits Singer etc. Try a JoAnn Fabrics and take your machine with you to be sure that it fits, if Sears is closer try them.
This machine can't use a hard drive larger than what it came with.
This is a very old machine and won't be able to run anything more than Windows 2000.
About the only thing that is current and will run worth a darned is Linux. With Linux you'll be able to use the larger hard drives as well.
Buy another HDMI cable an tried it out maybe the cable it bad.Tries the cable box with an colaxial hook up see u get the same result, could be the cable box it bad.All these thing are test, all things are good.Than the tv Tuner signal board is bad.Tries website like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner signal board for the replacement.
I'm not exactly sure what you are saying, but if you need to hook up a cable or DSL modem to your computer, it is as simple as plug your RJ45 ethernet cable from modem into the ethernet cable port in back of your computer. It is the one that looks like a telephone line but it is larger. If your modem is working then that should be all you need to do.
Most newer computer do not have serial ports but there is such a thing as a USB to Serial converter that might work to load what you need to load. USB to Serial converters don't always work but they are worth a try
