Question about Panasonic DMR-ES30VS DVD Recorder/VCR
HI I GET FAULT CODE F09 FROM TIME TO TIME, BUT MOST RECENT PROBLEMS ARE NOW THE MACHINE TURNS ITSELF OFF EVEY TWO OR THREE MINUITES, AND TODAY NOW TURNS OFF ALTOGETHER UNTIL I UNPLUG AND TRY AGAIN THEN IT IT OK FOR A MINUITE THEN TURNS OFF ALTOGETHER.PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ? DO I NEED A SPARE PART OR DO I NEED TO BIN THE MACHINE.?????????
I had this code (f09) on my Panasonic DVD VHS recorder. After seeing that it meant overload I took the cover off to look for burnt out components. I found that an electrolytic capacitor had bulged (look up capacitor plague on wikipedia). I replaced the capacitor with one of a similar value from an old power supply and it worked fine.
