Unfortunately the shutter motor is broken, so normal pictures will be over-exposed. If you use it as a recorder or candlelight function the shutter mechanism doesn't need to work because the shutter is always open.
Fix that problem is very difficult, unless you get a new lens block.
Hope this helps,
Pablo

I am a member of a paranormal group. Can I use my magnavox MWR10D6 DVD recorder to record from a cam. Is this possible?

As long as your DVD recorder has line inputs yes you can.

If your DVD recorder has a DV input, you can use a firewire cable. If your DVD recorder has audio and video inputs you can hook the output of your camera to the line inputs of your recorder and record in realtime
Most DVD recorders do have inputs, you can use either the Y/C (black round connector) or the composite (yellow connector) along with the audio inputs (red & white) RCA plugs depending on the type of camera you are using.

Audio on Dell Webcam Central And voice record isn't working

I have a Dell 1545 with Dell web cam central & I've had this issue. The problem is that Dell web cam central installs it's own microphone settings onto your laptop called something like Dell web cam Live!. This isn't the built in microphone in my laptop & maybe not yours either. You have to change the settings for your computer system & Dell web cam central. Go to start> control panel> sound> recording .. on mine there is an option for Microphone "High Definition Audio Device" ... that is the built in mic. You want that for your default & apply it. Also .. as a side note .. I disabled the web cam central Live! microphone completely from this window. Then open Dell web cam central & go to the "Record Video's" option. In the middle of this is an orange button with a video camera icon. Next to this on the same button is a little arrow pointing down .. click that. Under microphone .. choose Microphone "High Definition Audio Device" just like the sound option in control panel. I've done this & it's completely fixed. I can record videos with sound & use my built in mic in voice/video chat.

How can I record a tv show onto a blank disc? I

Make sure you have the right DVD disc and the disc is clean if you do... (2) make sure you connected it right and are fully seated. LINE IN on your DVD-R is for the recorder part LINE OUT on the tv is to send it to the DVD-R If you done that try another RCA cable or two That should fix it

Monitor and recorded picture out of sync.

It sounds like the sync pulse is not being recorded properly. I don't see too many PAL decks here in the Us, so I'll have to research this a bit. One thing you can try though, is to play back a previously recorded betacam tape and report the results. We need to determine whether the problem is in the record or playback circuitry.

Thanks,
Dan
