Sony KV32hs510 - Won't come on flashing light - 6 or 7 times
Hi, had a bad storm last week. Something seemed to happen to the TV. Wouldn't turn on. Light would flash 6 or 7 times. Tried unplugging and waiting. This did not work. However, waited 24 hours, plugged in and it worked.
Last night I shut theTV off for some reason (instead of the cable box). This AM, having the same issue with no picture and lights blinking 6 or 7 times.
ANy way to get this to work today? I can't have the wife and kids without TV while I go away on a business trip.

read the instruction manual and see how to operate. if the timer is for to sleep, the problem will be the IC associates with him, you must see the block diagram and w.diagram. and tracking the signal. go to www. retrevo.com and download the diagram. God bless you
This happens when high voltage reaches 33k,it shuts down for safty. Unplug it from the wall outlet, then remove the back from tv,then check the power supply And horizontal circuits.for faults, with an ohm meter, check all solder joints for cold or bad solder connections, resolder most, check fuse,if no reading on the meter with one probe on one end and the other probe on the other useing the ohm scale, replace the fuse. Always replace it with the same amps, its writen on end of fuse......hope this helps...........
HI, Please count that how many times(count numbers) LED flashes in a specific time, and let me know, then i will be able to help you and can tell you the area of fault. Hope you will understand my saying. Thanks for using fixya.
Yes, the blinks are error codes. I would not bother trying to figure out what they mean, I can tell you right now. Expensive repair. Average repair costs are 1/4 to 1/2 of the TV's current worth. Most likely a bad transistor. The average expected life span of a TV set is 3-5 years. After that, stuff starts wearing out fast. Time to move on.
Hi i have been hereing a lot 0f these problems today here is my list of things that go bad when BLINKING RED LIGHT.
1 if tv comes on and shutsoff it is screen adjustment on flyback
2 power supply regulators going bad
3 bad picture tube
i suspect adustment on flyback be careful it is high voltage adjust clock wise slowly only move it a tiny bite.
