Question about Philips DVP-3005 DVD Player

1 Answer

Won't display photos from a CDRW

Hi,
I am trying to view photos taken on my kodak easyshare v1103 using the DVP 3005. I haven't had any problems viewing photos until I bought this new camera. Now when I try and view new photos on a CDRW, the DVD player shuts down. However I can still view older CDRWs that contain photos from my older camera. Therefore the disk reader seems fine.
Any advice?
Kind Regards, P Borlace

Check what type of file type the Kodak is creating, it may not be a JPG. If its not you would need to look in settings or check the manual to see how to change the camera so it saves the files as JPEG'S.
Or the long route compress them into JPEG'S on your PC.

Iam unable to view the pictures I took with my former Easyshare. It says unreconized-file format. Is there a way I can view the pictures taken with my old camera?

Many cameras will not display pictures that were taken with a different type of camera. You should still be able to view those pictures on the original camera, a computer, or a digital photo frame.

If I may make a gentle suggestion, use your camera to take pictures. To display them, use something better suited for the task.

All of a sudden I could not take photo's in bright light

I?m confused to the model of your camera since you have listed the problem under KODAK ONE, but write C813 in the problem description. However I hope it is a KODAK C813 since there is no firmware available for KODAK One. KODAK C813 solution: Please try to upload new firmware: I hope that it will solve the issue, the alternative is a repair. Connect the camera with the computer. Turn the camera on. Can't upload videos to Imovie

Kodak series cameras capture videos in MOV files. iMovie will only import codecs that it can edit. iMovie can import MP4, DV, Apple Intermediate Codec, H.264, Photo JPEG, Motion JPEG, Apple Animation, and perhaps others. MOV is a multimedia container file, not a codec. It can contain any of the above codecs, but it could contain other codecs that are not editable by iMovie, such as MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 so that sometimes iMovie cannot recognize Kodak videos directly.
please try this video converter, good luck. kodak video to imovie

LCD Display window

This is the problem, when she dropped it, some gears inside it got shoved out of place. If the screen or anything glass you can see is still intact, that's a good sign that it probably didn't break any of the fragile gears but if it isn't intact then you need to get it repaired, although that could cost up to $100 and that's how much this camera costs

Download movie by Kodak Easyshare

Instead of using the software... Try uninstalling the software and use the Microsoft Scanner and Camera wizard to transfer photos/video to your computer. It should recognize everything on your camera, and then you can copy and paste the photos/videos into whatever folder you specify. In my experience, Kodak's EasyShare software was able to recognize .MOV movies. If your computer is slow, you might want to wait a while for all the processing to be done and check if the videos were recognizeD
