An E50 error indicates a problem with the power control board or the motor. You may be able to get additional information by starting the washer on any program except the first one. Press and hold the start/pause button then press the button 2 buttons to the left. If you see an E51 error, then the triac on the power board has failed. This usually means that both the main control board and the motor have failed.
I can't find a parts list for the EWF 1234. Please check if there is another model number on the unit and add a comment with that information.
On Electrolux washing machines error e54 means the problem in the contact group of one of the two reverse relays. I would like to help you with the e50 error. What is your model of the washing machine?
Family error code E60 is visible to customers and (could be E61,E62,E66,E68 and E69 only visible in service mode) means problem with heating phase.
Possible failures : heating element faulty, NTC sensor faulty, PCB faulty, wiring.
e50 is a motor error code.check the motor brushes are ok and check the insulation on the motor as this will give you an e50 error code.could also be a faulty wiring loom to the motor or a faulty main control pcb
E50 says the motor is overheated, they recomen you let it sit for 30min to clear. It can be the motor power supply triac has got a short circuit or there could be no signal from the motor tachometric generator, which will uaually mean a pcb fault, or wiring to motor or even the motor. hope this helps
E50 is displayed if the there is no drum rotation. drum jammed not allowing motor to turn/ no circuit through motor(poss worn out carbon brushes) less likeley but poss short on motor relay on electronic board.
