If you have the AR MAX cd ,you can try format your memory card there ,but you lost all you've been saved .And everytime playin the game make sure you check the memory card ,if theres a corrupted data (with the FxxxxxN blue box :) ,you have to turn the green light for many time ,till the FxxxxxN blue box gone or turned to be the shape of what you have saved .Well thatz all i can do ,coz i have the same problem here ,everytime i turn it on & check the memory card "VIOLA" ! theres a corrupted data ,but finaly i found the way (not the best) to fixed it .

My memory card has been doing that too. It's either your memory card has gone bad or your ps2 memory card slots is fucked up

Hi,your problem is the data keeps corrupting your save game files i have a solution for that. 1.When your saving your game do not turn it off while saving. 2.When your saving your game do not remove you memory card. or 3.Just buy a new ps2/memory card.

My Playstation 2 memory card has corrupted data.

well, if it only does this error for one game then maybe the problem is in the game itself? Is the CD a real one? or is it copied with a golden back?
if it is copied then such things can definitely happen.

Memory Card Corrupted

you cannot save another file until you delete previous one.Corruption occurs if the memory card is removed from console or if you reset the game while saving or loading game remember this also happens when you are saving or loading game and electricity turns off.

Memory Card Corrupted

These cards have become so cheap it would be better just to buy a new one and use that as backup for the non corrupt data.

Corrupted Data on PS2 memory card

I don't know if you have been trying to delete the data with a game inside the ps2, but in case you have, try this.

Turn on the system WITHOUT a game inside, select BROWSER, the MEMORY CARD ICON, and i believe the corrupted data icon is a grayish black square. Choose options and then delete.
I am also heard that inserting a music cd will work as well, probably just has to not be a game inside the ps2.

Corrupted data comes from turning off the ps2, or removing the memory card while the game loads or saves data to/from memory card.
I really hope that helps, ps2's are meant to be played! Good luck.

No data

Sounds like the memory card became corrupted, beware of buying massive memory data cards for ps2 as the bigger they are the more chance of problems, sounds like you will have to get new card.

PS2 Disk won't spin

what may have happened is that the saved files for GT4 on your memory card have now become corrupt, and the disk when put in the suysstem is trying to read the data from the card, simply deleting your saved GT4 data from the memory card should allow the disk to play as normal.
