I bought this hardware 3-4 years ago and it has been a great scanner. Recently I had hard drive problems, had a new one installed, had to reload all the old software. When I tried your disc, I got this message, "This installation requires a System Folder on the destination drive. The install has been cancelled." What does that mean? Do I need an update on the software since I am now running Leopard on my Mac? Please help. Mary

It depends on the type of errors you are experiencing. Replacing the hard drive and reloading the operating system may resolve a great deal of software related problems, including issues with the operating system. And it will also resolve any hardware related issues that you had with the original hard drive. But replacing the drive won't help with other hardware related problems such as motherboard, ram, power supply and optical drive issues.
Windows vista is a large operational system that caused the very complaints that people were talking about and that is why window 7 came in because it is lighter and faster and takes less resources. But to address your problem sub out the ram memory one at a time to see if there is a difference, quite often reseating the ram will sometimes fix the problem.
Agfa's website is the best possibility but be advised that all manufacturers tend to abandon support for their hardware sooner or later and 12 years is a long time in computer accessories.
yo bro i got a couple things that might help try going to your bios and change the hard drive that it should look to to get the right system running, that is if you have tow different hard drives in the pc. o and also make sure that you have everthing plugged in correctly in your pc. if that doesnt work take out the first hard drive that was installed in the first place and put your new hard drive in its place and put in the right wire also.
I can't diagnose the drive issue... but I can offer a reliable and trustworthy data recovery solution that I had to use a year ago. It's Seagate's do it yourself data recovery and will work on your WD drive. So if you can't resolve the issue otherwise, consider this as a recovery option...
Ok here is the thing. the driver that you are referring to is native to the XP operating system. Meaning the driver is embedded. If the CD/DVDROM comes up under my computer that means only 1 thing. The driver is ok. if you have tried more than 1 CD and the drive still does not read it., it means only 1 thing. The drive is defective. if you use an external drive via USB you should not have any problems. If you do then you will need to reload Windows but that will be an unlikely event.
Hi, sounds like you might have a faulty part in the pc, ie memory or hard drive etc. if you have already installed windows from scratch on the pc and your still getting these faults i would say its the memory or hard drive is faulty..
