    Hi Master-Tech,

I am basic in my mechanical ability.

If its a matter of removing the screws in the back and finding the penny, it should not be an issue. If it requires adjusting belts and electronics and all, it will be more difficult.

    Let me know.
    Thanks.

Ok here is the best way to describe it you will need to get around the back there are two torks screws remove them and slide the top panel back to you ..OH I FORGOT unplug the machine first !!!....Ok now with the top off you will see the drum.. slowly hand rotate it until you see some screws that are lined up with the baffles inside the drum You will need to remove just a few screws on one side (the baffle that has the coins) dont take them all out or the baffle will fall inside the drum and it will be a pain to get back on9u will need 2 people) and that should do it you will need to rotate the drum around until the correct baffle ...ie ..the one with the coins in on top at the 12 o'clock position.. let me know if this works our for you

Drop my marriage ring in to Frigidaire GLGT1031CS

1. Unplug the unit.

2. Tilt the unit up to where the front feet are in the air and the back feet are still on the ground. Please make sure the unit is propped up safely.

3. Now that the unit is propped up look inside on the bottom right hand side there is a black looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.

4. Clean the drum out with as much water as possible and have towels ready. The next step you will have the remaining water come out.

5. At the top of the coin trap where it is attached to the drum is a silver spring with a silver screw. Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.

5. Reach inside the coin trap and clean what is inside of it out.

6. Put the unit back together following the same steps backwards

We were giving a maytag dryer Mod# MDET236 it was making a loud knocking noise so we opened it up and found a pocket knife and some coins after puting it back together it is still making the same loud...

First thing would be to make sure there wasn't something else in the drum. Next, it is possible that one of the rollers the drum rolls on could have a flat spot. This will require opening the case of the machine and getting a look at those rollers.

The tumbler makes a terrible noise - I'm sure it's just a coin or a screw rattling around in there. I can't figure out how to get inside to look around the tumbler to see what it may be. And once...

Open the door and look inside - yes, you can see everything inside the drum. Sometimes buttons, especially the metal ones on denim pants, can make a pretty good racket.

If you don't find any foreign objects inside the drum, and the dryer makes noise even when it's empty, it may be time to change the drum rollers or the belt tensioner pulley. It's also remotely possible that there's something batting about in the blower housing, but if that is the case, it would probably be a screw or something broken off of the ductwork, or the blower itself is loose on the shaft. Post back if you need instructions for checking the mechanism underneath the drum.

Dryer turns on but does not start when i push the start button. The timer comes on all the buttons light up, light is on inside dryer, but does not start just makes a sound when i hit the start button

if it's a humming sound the motor is bad or something is jammed keeping the motor from spinning.open the dryer door and move the drum by hand if the drum can't be moved the belt could be jammed on something or there's something stuck in the blower wheel.the blower wheel is behind the duct that the lint filter slides into.if you can move the drum then you most likely have a bad motor, try spinning the drum and push the door switch in and have someone else push the push to start button and see if the dryer will start,if the motor has a flat spot it could start like this.let me know what you find

Dryer sounds like there is change on the outside

i had the same problem last week on my dryer, turns out that the felt on the drum where its attached to the housing has worn off, my dryer is so old. i did do careful inspection, by sticking my head in the drum and turning it by hand and looking into the seam. it does sound like there was a coin in there, but it was just metal to metal scrapping. im off to my buddys used appliance store to look for a felt seal.plz rate-bozcro

I have Whirlpool Duet Dryer that has a noise.

It is common for small items (such as coins) to get stuck inside the dryer drum baffles. You can easily remove them without disassembling the entire dryer. The screws that hold them in place are located on the outside of the dryer drum. In order to access, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Remove the top panel of the dryer by removing the three screws located in the back of the dryer holding the panel in place. Once the screws are removed, the top panel slides back, then lifts off.

Each drum baffle has two screws holding it in place. Remove the screws and the baffle will drop into the drum allowing you to easily check inside each one.

Another source of dryer noise is something caught in the blower fan housing. You will need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the dryer door to access. Follow these steps:

1. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen (the blower fan cover will not come off with the lint screen in place).
2. Locate the screws that hold the toe panel in place along the bottom front edge of the panel. HINT: Propping the front feet of the dryer up can give you better access to reach the screws (a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed the toe panel will drop down, then come off.
3. Remove the screws that hold the blower fan cover in place.

Inspect the blower fan housing for any objects that may be vibrating against the fan blades.

If you still need further assistance, please let me know. I hope you find this helpful.

GE Dryer (new) makes noise

few possibilities here, idle pulleys could be wearing, front drum guides could be wearing, back drum bearing, bit early for these problems though, but sometimes coins get lodged at the drum paddles inside located 120degrees apart which wouldnt be anything to worry about if you can verify this, hope this helps

Coin-operated dryer won't turn off at end of cycle.

A dryer timer is a real simple device. Take the whole thing out and give it a good inspection. A little wd 40 can do wonders. A bad coin in the works can jam it on. Put a coin thru the works, watch the action. The timer motor can fail or get stuck, spray and test.

Zanussi jetstream 1250 coin between inner & outer drum

not that easy.
remove top. remove water hoses.remove rear half of cabinet. to do this, undo securing screws along top flange, remove two screws at bottom sides hidden behind plastic plugs and two screws at bottom back. rear half of cabinet will then pull off.
remove heater - this is held with a 10mm nut in the centre which loosen and prise heater out.
you canb then see into the gap between tub and drum ane remove coin or whatever

Is there a schematic for the Kenmore Elite Oasis gas dryer model no. 110.7703*, 7704*? I think a coin or something got inside and it now makes a noise when in use. I cannot for the life of me figure out...

you can remove the lower acees panel ( 3 1/4 screws across the very bottom of unit, this will give you acess, to the insideto better pinpoint where noise is coming from, also across the top of the back of the unit is 3 screws holding down the top assy, by removing this youll be able to access the screws hodling on the inner drum paddles( incase the coin(s)), has gotten between there
