Question about Xerox Phaser 8500/DN Printer
I have run all the cleaning cycles and test pages but I can print only about 15% of the color bars (one side only) in black, but all others cmy print prefectly. It's as is the black ink is plugged up but Xerox is of zero help.
Here are the directions to enable and disable Jet Substitution. This may very well help.
Some of the print head jets will not unclog for you. If that does not work then most likely the print head needs to be replaced.
o enable the Jet Substitution mode:
NOTE: If necessary, press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Save Change and Select Another Jet] to substitute more jets.
