Question about HP Photosmart 2610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
If you look in the 96 (Black) cartridge loading area you might see that the retention spring has poked a hole in the circut board. I am now either trying to replace the ink cartridge holder or purchace a new printer. I have about $70.00 in new ink that I can't use now. The 2610xi worked great until the spring popped out of its holder.

Same problem. tried everything from hp, no good. finally figured it was alignment of cartridge problem, maybe because spring underneath, wasn't doing it's job. anyway, when inserting the cartridge, i put one finger underneath the cartridge and held upward pressure, while closing the green plastic cover on the color cartridge. problem fixed. the pins on the cartridge and the pins on the printer where not aligning properly by just slipping the cartridge in and closing the plastic cover.

I am prining envelopes and got this message twice so far. I just unplugged the printer for a hard boot. Wish someone knew what generates this message though. Annoying.
