Have tried for hours and hours to get this new phone to sync with my computer so that I can type in my calender, but have been unable to get it to work. Have given up the ghost and will spend tomorrow manually entering data into calender unless you have a wizard idea how to solve this problem. p.s. have tried to change from mass storage to data but phone automatically reverts back to mass storage. Please help me and my sanity.

Frequently, this happens do to a problem with your contacts or calender. It's a problem with syncing those items with your Google account or PC. If the problem is with one of these, you should try to manually synch the calender and contacts. (Go to Settings > Accounts & Sync > (Go to Gmail account). You'll see the option to sync the Calender, Contacts and Gmail. Select each one to manually attempt to sync the files. Determine which item is providing the error; you will need to clear the data from the problem application. (Note: back up your contacts first. Use the People > Menu > Import/Export > Export to SD card option if you can.)
Next un-check the sync option for the problem app (calender or contacts) under the Google Account > Accounts. Then go to Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > All and clear the data and cache for the problem app. (The contacts may be under the Running list.) Then re-enable the sync feature. If the calender is causing the error, you may need to erase and re-create your recurring item.
For some scrolling down to the Google Frameworks service in the Manage App > Downloads (or Running) menu then clearing that data. Then chose the "force stop" works to fix the problem. (However, this can put your cell phone into a factory reset state and may cause other problems.)
You will need to turn the cell phone off and back on before re-enabling the sync.
Take a look at the time settings on the PC, and when you sincronyze the phone it synchronizes the time automatically. Also, see the sinchronizing options on your HTC program, it might be set to sinchronize the time with PC.
You can simply tell it not to sync with Google, and simply use the Samsung basic settings, I would recommend this because a sync with Google will want updates frequently seemingly bugging you more and more.
companionlink has a couple of sync products. The cheap one only syncs when requested, the more expensive can be scheduled to run as frequently as every few minutes. You could also try google sync for appointments and soocial.com for contacts, both free. Soocial.com doesn't like contact pictures.
I have synced Gooldle calender withoutlink calender and then ActivSync 'ed to my Palm Pro, the phone calender does transfer the meetings, but all the metings are 1 hr delayed. For instance, a meeting in google / outlook calender at 9am transfers to 10am on Palm - any advise?
