Question about Bosch 3.81 cu ft WFMC530 1UC Nexxt 500 Plus Series Washer
My machine is now about five weeks into washing day frustration. This baby has a mind of his own. Sometimes it will spin, sometimes it won't. After sloshing around for 23 minutes trying to get up the gumption to actually go into the spin mode, the machine stops, you hear the door lock click open, and the display says to remove clothes. Sopping wet. Not overloaded or big bulky items, just normal everyday laundry. So the only way to get it to spin is to push refresh, then the machine rinses AGAIN, and maybe, just maybe it will spin. I am ready to take the washer and dryer back to the store and go for a different brand. Any comment Bosch?
And yes, the bolts are off, the display is set right; the machine spins when it's good and ready, and 15 to 20% of the time it just refuses to spin. It is freezing cold here in Michigan, and I have nightmare visions of myself hanging up clothes on the clothes line just like Mom used to do back in the 50's, and hours later bringing in frozen slabs of laundry. Ahhhh, progress!!!
I too was having this problem I relize this has been a while since the last post...... When I took off the three way rubber boot thing there was no Ball in there..... does any one know the part number or if Im looking in the right place?

There is a 3 way ball valve assembly between the drum and the sewage pump. It looks like a 4 inch diameter rubber elbow. You can access it by opening the back of the machine (unplug and completely drain first!)
If you remove the clamp that holds the assembly to the drum and look inside, you see a white ball. Make sure nothing blocks this ball from pressing up against the rubber ring that holds it in place. In my case, I just found a toothpick in there.
The third " - much smaller - exit from that 3 way assembly goes into a small rubber hose connected to a switch in the upper part of the machine. That's a pressure switch. If the ball doesn't close because something is stuck in there, the pressure switch doesn't work and the machine will stop draining. The electrics in there are smart enough to notice that the draining cycle never completed, so it won't spin.
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert (though I do hold a german engineering degree). So do this on your own risk. It's simple if you're handy and takes only about half an hour to drain, disconnect, pull out, open machine, pull off the valve assembly, clean and put it back together. Mine is happily draining and spinning now.

Spoke with a friend who happens to be a Bosch engineer. He told us to check out the inlet of the pump (behind the round access port on the lower right side of the machine)- The problem turned out to be one of our 2 year old's socks jammed in the inlet of the pump that drains the washer. Lesson learned... use a garment bag for small items to prevent this problem. Guess I have to retract my comment about the quality of the washer... it was our fault.

Sounds like a pumping problem, if the drain hoses/filter are not blocked then it could be a faulty pump.

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.
