Will not spin

My machine is now about five weeks into washing day frustration. This baby has a mind of his own. Sometimes it will spin, sometimes it won't. After sloshing around for 23 minutes trying to get up the gumption to actually go into the spin mode, the machine stops, you hear the door lock click open, and the display says to remove clothes. Sopping wet. Not overloaded or big bulky items, just normal everyday laundry. So the only way to get it to spin is to push refresh, then the machine rinses AGAIN, and maybe, just maybe it will spin. I am ready to take the washer and dryer back to the store and go for a different brand. Any comment Bosch?
And yes, the bolts are off, the display is set right; the machine spins when it's good and ready, and 15 to 20% of the time it just refuses to spin. It is freezing cold here in Michigan, and I have nightmare visions of myself hanging up clothes on the clothes line just like Mom used to do back in the 50's, and hours later bringing in frozen slabs of laundry. Ahhhh, progress!!!

Thanks so much for the advise! The solutions could be helpfull ahhhh, if only the drain hose was blocked, or the drain pipe blocked. Alas, no blockage. The machine will work okay one load, and not the next. I am now searching out online a different brand if Lowe's will be so kind as to take this lemon back. Last washer lasted 35 years and one week. New washer, just one week! Will keep you posted on the outcome of "lemon" washer and the new replacement.

My daughter has a front load Maytag and just loves it. Hey, it even SPINS! What a novelty.

Receiving error code E13 from our Bosch Nexxt DLX model # WFMC4301UC washing machine as well. Washer works normally up until rinse cycle, then starts beeping, displays E13 and will not complete the cycle. We have to turn the washer off, then manually select rinse and spin cycle... sometimes this works, sometimes we have to repeat the steps again to complete the cycle. VERY DISGUSTED!!! As much as this washer costs, expected more than 11 months of service without problems. Guess we'll call the repairman as no one seems to know what the error code means.

I load half the clothes of my old Maytag which I could wash 6 beachtowels. The same dripping problem is ridiculous for even a few clothes and the machine smells after 2 months.

Sometimes the washer will not spin to get the cloth dry, sometimes it will fill up with water, halfway up the drum.

What is up with that, it is a new maschine. It is a Bosch nexxt 500

Frequently does not go into the spin cycle (seems random). Clothes come out sopping wet. Also, frequently takes forever to complete a wash...says 1 minute left and 20 or 30 minutes later its still running. Unit is only a few months old.

There is a 3 way ball valve assembly between the drum and the sewage pump. It looks like a 4 inch diameter rubber elbow. You can access it by opening the back of the machine (unplug and completely drain first!)
If you remove the clamp that holds the assembly to the drum and look inside, you see a white ball. Make sure nothing blocks this ball from pressing up against the rubber ring that holds it in place. In my case, I just found a toothpick in there.
The third " - much smaller - exit from that 3 way assembly goes into a small rubber hose connected to a switch in the upper part of the machine. That's a pressure switch. If the ball doesn't close because something is stuck in there, the pressure switch doesn't work and the machine will stop draining. The electrics in there are smart enough to notice that the draining cycle never completed, so it won't spin.

Disclaimer: I'm not an expert (though I do hold a german engineering degree). So do this on your own risk. It's simple if you're handy and takes only about half an hour to drain, disconnect, pull out, open machine, pull off the valve assembly, clean and put it back together. Mine is happily draining and spinning now.

Spoke with a friend who happens to be a Bosch engineer. He told us to check out the inlet of the pump (behind the round access port on the lower right side of the machine)- The problem turned out to be one of our 2 year old's socks jammed in the inlet of the pump that drains the washer. Lesson learned... use a garment bag for small items to prevent this problem. Guess I have to retract my comment about the quality of the washer... it was our fault.

Sounds like a pumping problem, if the drain hoses/filter are not blocked then it could be a faulty pump.

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

Fast spin not working. drum going round and draining but not spinning. Help!!!!

Possible there is no drive voltage to the motor at this point of cycle, could be due to fault in the controller unit.
Need to check the voltage on the unit to confirm this case as the drain gets connected..

I have a GE Profile Prodigy top load washing machine. Sometimes the spin cycle does not spin, sometimes it spins. It makes a clicking noise during gentle cycle

The gears maybe going out. Sometimes it is able to engage in the other direction which the spin, sometimes not. Washing machine have complex gears that in one way agitator works, and the other the gear locks to turn the whole tub. The clicking noise is probably the locking mechanism in the gears that has caused the whole intermittent problem.

Beko wma510w only spins when it feels like it

I have the same model and problem. I suspect the problem is due to the machines sensor which detects when it is off balance. The problem is most likely to occur when doing something like a single large towel. You can see it thinking about spinning but as soon as the drum starts to wobble it slows back down again.

Any ideas on how to stop this happening (sensor replacement) would be useful.

Most likely the rear bearing is bad. It would most likely not be cost effective to repair.
