Not able to recieve fax

When trying to recieve a fax from an outside source, the fax reports that this fax was blocked and aborts the reciept of the fax.

Note u will be losing all our faxes stored in memory and contacts...



Disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.
Hold down the Stop/Clear button.
While keeping the button pressed down, reconnect the power cable. A message on the LCD will display MEMORY CLEARING.
Note: The Fax, Copy and Scan buttons will remain ON until the message disappears. Only the Fax button should be ON when the function is complete.
Select the personal settings you require as follows:

LANGUAGE? Press the right arrow key to select the language you want to use, and then press Select.

COUNTRY CODE: Press the right arrow key to select the country you will be using the printer in, and press Select.

ENTER DATE: Using the date format dd/mm/yy (in the USA, mm/dd/yy), press Select.

ENTER TIME: Using the format hh:mm, press Select.
Select Format: Press the appropriate number to choose between 1=12hr, 2=24hr.

PERSONALIZE FAX: Press Select.
Enter Name: Type in the name and press Select.
Enter Fax Number: Type in the number of the phone line to which the printer will be connected, and then press Select.

How do i get a fax confirmation to print out????


Hi,

Follow the steps below to enable the Fax confirmation report.

Press SETUP button on front panel
Use Right or left arrow till you find Print Report - Press OK
User right of left arrow till you find Fax Confirmation - Press OK
You will find few options like
1. Fax Send Confirmation
2. Fax Recieve Confirmation
3. Fax Send and recieve

Choose the one you want and press OK

I can send out faxes and they recieve them but when they send me a fax it comes up blank


Try printing a report using the report button, if it prints blank, your laser unit might be faulty.

How do I set up my 3050 to get a report each time I send and receive a fax?


Press menu button printer control panel.
Select the option reports.
Selected all faxes reports and that should allow you printer the report everytine you send or recieve fax

Phone Co ran a check and it was due to bad fax line so they fixed it.

Unable to recieved any faxes or confirmation reports


Probably the back up battery is dead, and has been set back to default settings.
I can't help you with the method of setting, but it has switched to "manual receive", instead of "automatic", and "tx report" (transmission report) is off.
....and "no" you can't install a new battery yourself, and depending on the model, I doubt it's worth having repaired

Fax confirmation set up

However, this option can be changed using the printer control panel.
  1. Press the right arrow until Reports appears in the display, press the checkmark.
  2. Press the right arrow until Fax Call Report appears in the display, press the checkmark.
  3. Press the right arrow until Print Report appears in the display, press the checkmark.
  4. Right arrow to the option of choice, press the checkmark to save the change.
FAX call report options
  • Send Fax Only - a confirmation sheet will only print when a fax is sent
  • Never - no fax confirmation sheets
  • Every Error - default setting
  • Send Error - a fax confirmation prints when the fax transmission encounters an error
  • Every Fax - a fax confirmation sheet will print for incoming and outgoing faxes

Paper feeding when printing recieved faxes


If this is primarily happening with receipts from one sending fax machine, the most likely cause is that the sending machine is transmitting an end code that causes this page to print.
