Getz 1.4 remote control expensive to replace

I replaced the battery of the remote control (Getz 1.4). After 1week the battery was dead again. Now I must replace the remote (parentally fault on the pc board). I must now replace the control? The cost is very high and I also need to pay for the “programming” of the control. Do you have any suggestions?

2006 Hyundai Getz. The car lost acceleration now won't start after fuel pump & filter replaced/

Question edited for clarity and full 'year make model'.
Question moved to correct category.

Did you disconnect the battery when you did that work. That would mean the security needs to be reset. They seem to have a history of not starting though!!

I have a 2006 Ford Edge with a working key. The pats system has been activated and the car will not start. How do I fix it?

Is the key a pats working key or just a copy of a regular key with no pats chip?do you have a remote control for the alarm yes/no?if you do have a programmed key fob remote and it's still not working then disconnect the battery cables and wait 5 minutes then reconnect the cables when the alarm sounds press the remote control button to stop the siren and it should be fine but remember if your ignition key is a regular key it won't start and you need a locksmith with a key programmer if your remote control battery is dead replace it and try again

I have a 2005 rendezvouse 3.4l went or e test and they could not do test because there was a " DLC did not meet the minimum voltage requirement on pin 16",

the digital logic controller (DLC) port is where the obd II tester plugs in , if pin 16 is low voltage then there is not enough power to power up the tester , most times this comes up is due to a worn plug (on tester) or can be a bent pin in car connector as well

also I guess its possible that the cars battery could be low (not dead) and this would produce this result
me I go to different testing station or involve a line supervisor

My remote control eats batteries

I replaced the battery in a VW key fob with an exact match of the dead battery I found in it. The fob worked again but the new battery lasted only 1 day. I checked the manual and discovered that the wrong battery had been installed by the previous owner and I had repeated that mistake. I installed the correct battery and it has worked fine ever since. I suggest that you double check to be sure you are installing the correct replacement batteries.

How much is a new replacement remote key fob

You are jumping to conclusion, it could just be failure of your body control module. It can be expensive as only the dealership can replace it.

Have a 1.1 hyundai getz that is running rough. Appears to be a coil problem. Should I replace the complete coil assembly?

a bad coil will cause a misfire, or dead mis, now on that eng. each coil fires two cylinders, so if you have a bad coil chances are the eng wont stay running, or stall, so no, a further diag needs to be done, there can be too many other causes for this concern.i recommend to take it to the dealer, they know the product, and you probably would be surprised that its not that expensive.
