Question about Philips Magnavox 9P6034C 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

I was changing channels and the screen went black. Power is on and it makes a clicking sound but there is no audio. Any ideas? This is a fairly new TV.

Screen went black while watching, now ony have sound

Look at the venting grills, you should see whit lights inside the set. If not, the backlight inverter board may have gone out or the power supply supplying the power to the inverter board may have gone out. Those are the two places to look first. It may have bad capacitors in the power supply.
