If the receptacle seems dead, check the circuit breaker or fuse that serves that circuit
Open the lid and check the lid switch and the tab on the lid that it pushes against. Press and release the switch: if it doesn't click when you do this, it's probably broken. If you're experienced at home repair, you can remove the switch, test it, and replace it if needed
If the washer still doesn't work, may circuit board/timer be defective.Have an authorized tech to figure out and if it is posible to repair. For replacement as complete part see link below:

If the washer doesn't operate or make any noise when set on any cycle, or if it stops suddenly when it should continue onto the next cycle, it may not be receiving electrical power or, if the motor stopped mid-cycle, the machine's overload protector may have tripped. In this case, take out some of the articles to reduce the load and let the protector reset itself, then restart. Otherwise:

1) Be sure it is plugged in and turned on. If necessary, check the receptacle it's plugged into for power, using a working lamp, appliance, or voltage tester. Be sure the washer lid is closed completely.

2) If the receptacle seems dead, check the circuit breaker or fuse that serves that circuit.
3) Unplug the washer and check the power cord. If necessary, replace the cord.

4) Open the lid and check the lid switch and the tab on the lid that it pushes against. Press and release the switch: if it doesn't click when you do this, it's probably broken. If you're experienced at home repair, you can remove the switch, test it, and replace it if needed; otherwise, call an appliance repair service person.

5) If the washer still doesn't work, the controls may be faulty. Call a service person.

What part provides power to the conrol panel?

You need to remove top and check for 12v and 5v,( put multimeter leads on wires one at a time) going into display panel from main board. If you see 12v and 5v than display board is very bad.If no voltage at all then main b. is bad or the noise filter fuse is bad.

Maytag performance top load washer

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

  1. No power to the washerMake sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.
  2. Lid switchThe washing machine may not function if the lid switch is defective. The switch is usually located near the door. Replace if found defective.

I have a LG washer WM0532HW that shows LE code. I have tried changing the hall sensor but did not work

Hi Giancarlo:
The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.

Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error, but it is possible to separate the working from the non-working, just by following a process. The reason this particular unit has been on the injured list for so long is the first tech never followed a trouble shooting process to ensure the parts being replaced had actually failed.

Fig. 01: LG front load motor circuit

It sounds like there is a problem with the hall effect sensor board as it sounds like you have replaced the rest of the components. Get to the main board, look for the hall sensor connector which should be a white connector with white, blue, red, and gray wires. Use a multimeter to measure between the white and gray with power on. You should read 10-15vdc, if not the board is bad. Then measure between the blue and gray wires while slowly rotating the motor. You should see a pulsing 10vdc and the same thing if you measure betwen red and gray. If you don't measure anything, then the wiring needs to be checked for an open circuit. If you measure less than 10vdc, or the voltage does not pulse as you rotate the motor, the sensor board is bad. You can also verify the wiring to the motor by measuring between any two wires on the red motor connector with blue, red, and yellow wires. You should read between 5 and 15 ohms between any two wires. If you measure an open circuit on any of them, then time to check the wiring harness for a broken wire, or a loose connection on either end.

The part number for the Hall Sensor is 6501KW2002A and it is the most likely cause of your problem. To search this and other replacement parts, visit this link appliancepartspros.com (with diagrams).
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

I have an LG WM2277HW washing machine. My wife went in this morning to do some laundry and the thing is completely dead. No lights or signs of life. I checked the house circuit and the power to the...

Make sure the noise filter connectors are clean and connected properly. Get yourself a multimeter and check the voltage both on the load side and line side of the noise filter. It should read the same at 120VAC. The noise filter is the board before the main board. Replace it if the voltages on its load and line side are not the same.

The main board is not serviceable and must be replaced if faulty. It has a fuse and if it is blown, the main board is probably faulty. Look at the two brown capacitors on the top left of the main board. Next to it is a heat sink and to its right is a white "fuse-like" component with silver ends. That is the main board fuse. If it is blown, disconnect all the connectors from the main board except the one connecting it to the noise filter. Jump a single thin strand of wire in place of the fuse and apply power to the machine. Check if the power LED indicator on the main board lights up. If it does not, the main board is dead, replace it.

Please do not hesitate to update me about your findings above for further guidance if necessary.

E23 indicates Drain pump faulty; Wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

The service information also says it should stop with the door open.

Unplug the appliance and manually remove the water via the filter or front drain point if it's fitted.

Drain it into a shallow dish, tighten the filter when you need to stop the water (or plug the hose if draining via a hose) while you empty the container.

Once empty, try the door again.

Take the filter out and clean out any debris in it.

Plug the appliance in and put the machine on a drain programe.

Listen/look at the open filter to check that the drain pump is running.

fault is probably the motor tacho( bit that measures motor speed) has dropped off or the circular magnet inside it has broken.
tilt the machine back at a good angle so you can get underneath and look at the end of the motor shaft (opposite end to the pulley). you should seea circular coil with 2 fine wires coming out of it. this coil is held in by a clip and it has probably loosened.

Check to see if any wire is loose on the door switch, after removing the plug from the wall socket........Also check your water inlet hoses and hose filter screens. The water inlet valve on wall shd be opened well, before you begin wash.
