My oven doesn't light

My oven suddenly doesn't work. The burners on top work fine. The broiler works but the cook part of the over won't light. No gas smell when it is turned on. Any ideas?

Having the same problem. Broiler works, but Bake doesn't. Ignitor doesn't lite up. I pull the panel at the top of the stove to check the fuse, but am having trouble identifying it. Do you have a part number I can look for?

I'm assuming that the fuses are located behind the clock and dials panel, right?
Thanks

You should check your fuses located in the top of your stove

Gaffers and Sattler vintage stove oven pilot 1956 W54 series similar problem

My mother had the same problem with her Gaffers-Sattler range. No one could figure out what was wrong with it. Her local new appliance repair people said to contact J.E.S. Enterprises, Inc at www.theoldapplianceclub.net. Whew; thank God for that tip. They knew exactly what the problem was and repaired the unit for her. The stove is running again like a workhorse! Here is their number - 805-643-3532.
