Question about Polaroid 1720-7 Remote Control

1 Answer

Dog destroyed my romote

I have a Polaroid 42" Plasma...model #PLA 4200M and the only way to turn it on and operate it is with the remote, which is destroyed....We can't find any other buttons to control the power, vol, channels, etc anywhere on the outside or back of the tv...I've never seen this on any other tv. Do I have to unscrew the back to find these buttons or try and get a universal remote?

Try keeping the room at a cooler temperature to prevent overheating. also try to ensure there is nothing blocking the vents.

Color on tv is very faded and dull

Is your TV a CRT or a Flat panel. If it is a CRT, the cathode ray tube is old and weak. Too expensive to replace, just get a new Flat panel TV as they are the only ones sold now.
