Question about Acer Aspire 5500 5570-2609 Laptop

Audio problem I received this laptop for Christmas and was trying to do a video chat with my brother in NC. Our video is fantastic but audio is delayed and not clear, actually choppy or very broken. I have checked volume setting, etc. but can seemed to solve the issue. Can you help?

    Nothing else is running but AIM and the chat session, no music, etc. The video is crystal clear. I am on broadband as well. This is frustrating as this is the first time trying to use video chat and have audio issues. My son-in-law is leaving for Iraq in 1 1/2 months and wanted to be able to chat with him.

You may be having a bandwidth issue. the best thing to do here is free up your ram. make sure you have all the extra programs that are running in backround closed down when on a video chat call. You want to make sure your not downloading stuff the same time aswell. Just have your video chat program running and try it like that to see if the audio becomes in sync. you also want to have a highspeed internet connection.

    it could still be slow ram. if your not running enough ram in your system.. and your on broadband connection so you should be able to get the audio working. try using another chat program just to rule out software issues. try msn messager aim has audio problems and if your husban is going overseas your better off switching to msn messager because the aim is gonna be really slow. . is this a wireless or wired connection? cause that can make a differance.



    something else you should try is powercycling your modem. Over a period of time your modem slows down. unplug the power from your modem. and router if you have one. shut down your computer. plug back in the modem wait until all the lights are back to normal then plug back in the router. wait until lights are normal. Normal meaning the way the looked before you unpluged them. Then turn on your computer. Try the connection again.

Using medion md 96340 with built-in realtek hd audio sound card. in skype video calls the caller can hear very well but called person does not hear at all. skype echo test says-cannot find sound...

Analysis- The call can gear very well - indicates that the speakers / head phones are working fine and the audio drivers are working well
The called person doesnt hear any thing - it indicates that the caller is not able to transmit sound. This can be a microphone related issue. It can also be skype settings issue.

Please answer following questions to analyze the issue better

1. has this ever worked before?
2. Have you tried using the microphone for some other application like recording some audio?
3. Have you tried audio / video calls using some other chat program like gtalk?
4. Are u using any external microphone attached to a head set or is it the laptops inbuilt microphone?

How do i use acer crystsl eye to video chat on msn messenger


hi

if you open msn page
then click on the name of the person that you want to video with
go up to tools if its there
if its not go to
bottom right hand side of screen where you would normally text
and you should see an arrow which when highlighted says
( Show more commands )
click on it and go down to and click on Show the menu bar

then the tools option should be in the top of the box of the person that you are in chat/video or text with

anyway click tools
then click on set up audio and video devices
then it should open up the audio/video/webcam set up box
and if there is a problem with either audio or webcam it will tell you then

In Dell Inspiron 1400,during voice chat,my voice is not heard to other person. Am able to hear voice of other person in voice chat.There is no problem in audio tracks and vidoes sounds from internet.


Try to configure your audio settings from the chat client you're using. Select the one that is installed in your system then check if it works. Otherwise, try replacing your headset with built-in mic.

No sound in Samsung NC-10 netbook. In sound and Audio Devices it says no audio device detected. i installed the audio driver (5.10.0.5693). Did not work


If you are running windows XP or Vista and the problem happened recently then you can use the System Restore program to try and take the system back to a date when it was working.

Another thing to try is when the laptop starts up ,the Samsung logo is displayed it should have a message written about to enter Setup press... (press that key to go into setup program).
Look in the sections if there is an onboard Audio section and make sure it's on enabled or auto ,you can change the values by pressing the Enter key when done you must Save and Exit.

yes they have guided u in a wrong way these chat personnel they are providing u with connexant drivers as u said but u need realtek driver as ur audio board is actually Realtek so follow the link try drivers from here it will help 100% i had tha same problem and they did same to me PLS RATE ME FIXYA if i helped u

try both of the below for XP ok bcoz i dont know which one u have on board ok !
