My ice dispenser keep shooting out ice after I moved glass away. The ice comes out in handfuls.

Sounds like there is still ice in the Shute, the unit is design to clear the shute so ice want freeze in the shute. Just touch and allow the shute to clear. The shute doesn't get as cold as the rest is why this happens. There is a micro switch near the handle that might be sticking, but seldom does.

Ge side by side ref.

no,its more than likely the defrost heater located just under the coil thats freezing up,check this heater for continuity,if its o.k. then test the defrost thermostat thats clipped onto the same coil near the top of the coil, note, the defrost thermostat needs to be below 15 degrees to check good as its a thermal switch, then if still problems then check the main board in the back of the unit behind a panel this is where the defrost circuit gets its power, but i will likely say its the heater thats open because i replace about 5 per week with the same issue as yours

The cold control needs replacing. Thats the knob with the numbers that turn the Ref OFF and ON.
What I do is call my local Appliance Parts Store with my model no. They are extremely helpful .
Get freezer and ref thermometer. Ref is probably too cold.
Freezer should be 0 to 10 degrees. Ref 33 to 35

Kelvinator 401 Impression series. Oldie but a goodie until I switched it off for 6 weeks while on holidays. Switched it back on and now fridge area freezing. Tried switching up overnight (8-10) hrs and...

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it.
If it runs then that cold control is the problem.
If this doesn't work Do this

That is probably the compressor relay or cold control (Thermostat
The relay is on the compressor and needs replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.

At work one of our units gets too cold in the fridge and the tenant says it freezes her eggs.Do I need a new t stat?

if the eggs are placed directly where the cold air from the freezer enters the refirigerator section, they would freeze. The temp of air coming into the ref. sect. is about 12 degrees, by the time it fills the ref. section it is around 38 degrees. try moving the eggs to a middle shelf (just not on the top shelf), If that doesn't work then I would replace the thermostat.

Either chanell cuts out randomly. It is not over heating, and does'nt happen all the time. Otherwise sounds great. Marantz 2230. thanks in advance. Steve

Intermittent problems are no fun to troubleshoot because you have to force it to fail or wait for it to show the problem. It sounds like it could be a thermal problem or a cold solder connection. Do you hear the sound through the headphone jack on the receiver when the speakers blank out? If so your pre amp section is working, and it is in the power amp section. If not I would first use a spray contact cleaner on the switches and rheostats. Click on the link below for Cleaner.
http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/200-150
Second, wait until the unit exhibits the problem then use a freeze spray selectively spraying parts of the board and components until the sound returns. You can use a heat gun sparingly to heat parts of the circuit to try to force it to fail. If you selectively freeze spray the board and sound returns you need to inspect the board for broken traces and touch up solder connections, which could be cold and faulty. If you spray a component and the sound is restored it could be a bad component, and it should be inspected. Click on the link below for freeze spray.

Freezer compartment of refrigerator not freezing

First, I think it’s important to know that the Ref side has no cooling coils, it’s basically a box and the cold air in the freezer is blown over by a fan through a channel into the Ref side. This channel has a door which regulates how much cold air goes through. You probably have two control knobs in the Ref side, one controls the temp with numbers 1-9, 9 being the coldest. This temp control tells the compressor how long to run. The other control is for that little door and it may have letters A-E, E being the coldest. If you set it on E (coldest) then this will close that little door and keep most the cold air in the freezer.
So, how can the Ref side be cold and the freezer side not freezing?

1. Coolant leak. There is enough coolant to keep the Ref side cool but not enough to freeze on the freezer side.

2. Defrost system failure. The coils on the freezer side are clogged with ice and it's just a matter of time when the Ref side won't cool either. The back wall in the freezer will be covered with ice/frost

If your settings are right then the cold control switch is the problem

Sounds like the evap is frost up ,ice buildup.Make sure the ref. falls in defrost. If it does the problem could be faulty thermal disc or defrost heater. When the ice build up you will have no air flow and the ref side will be warm.
