Toshiba L100 equim memory update
i have got a crappy 256 memory and have purchashed 2gb (2x1g memory) and have attempted to install however when i have snapped the new memory the laptop will not recognise the install. i had an initial problem where the pc would not even start up. i have therefore re-entered the 256 memory and have managed to get on line. Is there anything i need to do to get the pc to regonise the new memory. Also, will this spec PC accept an upgrade from 256 to 2g ?

Try this, get a pencil eraser and rub it on the copper portion of your memory ( 2gb ). insert it on the memory slot, power on your pc and go to the set up menu.( You can go to the set up menu by pressing F2 or delete key on your pc once it boots up ). and check if your system recognizes the RAM ( memory ) you inserted.
