Indesit WEI167 The digital readout shows 2:05 the finish the cycle but the power button will not operate & I amunable to change any of the settings, I have tried to switch the power off (at the socket) then on again but it seems as if the system needs resetting. Whats wrong & how do I fix it?

Modifying a wash cycle in progress:

If a mistake was made during the wash cycle selection process it is possible to change the cycle, provided that it has only just begun: open the door, taking care to avoid the escaping steam, and press and hold the ON/OFF button; the machine will switch off with a long beep. Switch the machine back on using the ON/OFF button and select the new wash cycle using the SELECT WASH CYCLE button; start the cycle by closing the door.

I understand that the left hand side digital readout is not working on your Frigidaire range, model# PLEF398DCH. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Once you restore power, you will need to set the clock and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. If a power interruption occured to your household power supply, V-Chip has to be resetted. To reset the V-Chip do the following.

Channel guard and V-Chip settings are protected by a four-digit lock code. Your TV comes

preset with a lock code of "0000". You may change the code to any four-digit number you wish.
To change the lock code, follow the steps below.
Press the MENU button
To SET LOCK CODE use UP/DOWN buttons.
To operate (lock icon appeares on pressing =>/ Press ZERO to access the lock code
The first digit will be highlighted
Use =>/<= button to
To select the number
Press Up/Down button to
To move to the next digit
Continue to follow these directions for all four numbers
Press the OK button to finish (your lock code is now set)
Press the Menu button when finished

Look carefully at supply water. sometimes hoses are reversed, dad wants to save money and turns off hot, but water is needed to finish rinse cycle....turn on both taps and test again.

You probably need to set the time zone. Hit the set button until it shows the time zone (ie -7 MST), then hit the "+" button until it shows your time zone and the correct time. Continue hitting the set button to cycle through to the end of the settings.

if there a advance cycle button push it an see if the timer will advance to spin if not turn the power off to washer an wait a couple mintue an the door will open

If within warranty, contact you local. This fault can be electrical. Electronic board, motor, loose cable against metal can cause blown fuses.

There are three buttons, let's call them 1, 2, and 3, from left to right.


Clock
Time setting

A. 12 AM, PM or 24.00 h
With the clock in the time readout mode, keep
button (2) depressed for 4 seconds -12 AM, PM
or 24.00 flashing. After pushing button (1), either
a 12-hour (AM + PM) or a 24-hour setting
program can be selected. If you only want to
change the display mode, push button (3). The
clock then returns to its normal timekeeping
function.

B. Hours
Push button (2) a second time - hour display
flashes. Set hour by pushing button (1). After
pushing button (3)*, the clock returns to the time
readout mode with new hour setting.

C. Minutes
Push button (2) once more - minute display
flashes. Set minute by pushing button (1). Upon
pushing button (3)*, the clock is started -
accurate to within 1 second.

Stop watch function
The stop watch can only be set in motion if the
clock is in its normal timekeeping mode and not
during setting operations.
A. Push button (3) - 00:00 display appears;
B. Push button (1) - stop watch is on;
C. Push button (1) a second time - watch stops.
(Additional times can be added by pushing button
(1) again - stop watch keeps running. Push button
(1) once more to stop timing.)
D. Push button (2) - 00:00 display appears;
E. Push button (3) - normal timekeeping mode.

If button (3) is pushed during operation A and
B, the setting procedure must be restarted
(push button (2)).

If you wish to eliminate or reduce the volume of the end of cycle beep you can do so by powering off the unit and turning back on while holding the right button “Cancel/Reset”. The beep has 3 volumes levels and silent, press the right “Cancel/Reset” button to cycle through the settings. Power the unit back off to save you setting.

many indesits have a memory on board, set the timer to off position, turn on the mains press start let the machine finish what it is doing, and it will reset normally, turn off at mains for a few minutes can also do the trick, it sounds like one of the option buttons was pressed and you didn't let the timer finish its course,
