Set up I'm unable to setup my linksys to the internet. I was on the phone for 20 minutes awaiting a tech. with no response. I have internet on one computer but not with the other. Could you please assist me. Seems I spent alot of money for a product and cannot get any support. Would any assistance possible. Fred Conley [email protected]

    Linksys WRT54GS router ... Comcast HSI ... Can get desktop PC to work with any of the four ethernet ports, but can't get additional computers (laptops) to access internet in addition to desktop. The laptops will work independently, but not together with the desktop.



    So, I know that all the ports on the router work. But, can't get more than one computer to access the internet at a time?

Computer repair tech said Linskey wireless caused internet prob
If you are using DSL as your internet connection there is a timeout period that could be setup in the linksys.

In order to change this you need to log into your router and on check on the setup page. You see the timeout option.

Check with your linksys manual for detailed instructions for logging into the unit. If you dont have it, you can always get it from their website.

You should call Linksys tech support now. The router needs to be configured manually. The tech that you hired maybe not familiar on how to configure the Linksys router.

Version 1.1 internet works for 5 min and stops.
First thing to do here is to reset the router and reconfigure it back using the setup CD and hopefully it will reconfigure the router but if still didn't not make it work better call Linksys tech support and let one of their tech to walk you through it checking the router and also updating the software for it , they are open 24/7 this is the number 8003267114...
