Yeah, me too, only I'm assuming it has to do with attempting to install S+T with Vista. Same loop of wanting to reinstall which does nothing. Microsoft seems to have nothing about this.

Sounds like your disc is damaged or dirty. If the program use to run fine but no longer does, it is likely dirty or scratched. You can try to fix it by cleaning it (rub a soft cloth across the bottom from the middle outwards), or by resurfacing it using a CD scratch remover.

Alternatively, it is possible that you have a virus corrupting your install. Run an antivirus program to make sure you are not infected.

It should give you an option somewhere to activate. If it does, follow the prompts and enter your activation code from your DVD case (most of the time it is a sticker with numbers+letters on a sleeve inside the case).

Hi, go to the "streets.exe" file in the program folder, right-click it and go to "Properties". Click the "Compatiblity" tab and uncheck "Run this program...". Try it now. It's what I had to do.

I can't get Axis & allies to install on vista

Axis & Allies is designed to be used with Operating System: Windows 98/SE/Me/2000/XP, therefore I'd suggest to run your Axis & Allies in Vista using Compatibiliity Mode --> Right click on the program icon--> properties-->Compatibility--> select one of the versions above

I tried the following and it works. I had several bad installs and this works. My guess is that the first steps are not necessary, but they won't hurt.

1. Insert the first CD and explore to find the autorun file. Right click and choose properties, and run it in compatability mode with Windows 98.

2. Right click again on the autorun file and choose to run it as administrator.

3. Follow all the regular steps for installation.

4. On the new shortcut, right click and choose properties, run in compatability mode with Windows 98.

5. Finally, right click on the shortcut icon and choose to run the file as administrator.

Good luck. It is a wonderful software I have had for ten years and used on a half dozen computers.
