Some times the thermistor/temp measuring device is defect.
You must see a service manual that is available at link below , to check also voltages at power supply output.
But if you are not familiar with electronic repairs, better call an authorized tech. service to repair it.

Fan issue

Only way to know is look to see if fan is on (set will shut down almost instantly if any fan slows or shuts off--the fans are all being monitored.)

In the 65" TVS there are 4 or more fans One of these is not functioning Probably the one over the power supply itself This will cause it to heat very quickly and shut down in a matter of about 20 seconds.

only way to find out which fan is not working isw to remove the back.

When I attempt to turn on my tv it will power on green, fans run, and then shut down power red

The solution to this particular problem was the projection lamp was blown. Simple fix, but the bulb is on the expensive side.

I have posted solutions for similar problems.
There may be a heat issue with the power supply components.
Remove the back panel and blow compressed air into all the component area, (except the fan on the right). The power supply is on the left.
Then vacuum all the dust out.

There may be a problem with the battery in the remote. Weaken batteries can cause the remote to send random signals (including turning off the set).

That's probably the Color Wheel you are hearing. When you turn the set on the color wheel has to run, one of the several things that has to happen for the set to come on. The color wheel sends a signal back to the control circuit to tell it it's running. If these sets fail to light the lamp they will shut off and try again, that's why you hear the color wheel start then wind down then start again. The set should try three times before it decides it's not going to be able to turn on.

One way you can tell the difference in the fan sound and color wheel sound is if you can get the set on, let it run for a little while so it gets warm, then when you turn it off the color wheel will start winding down but the fans will continue to run for a minute or two.

your keeping a part that is warming up and shuts down your shutdown that protects the tv from burning up... cooler... to find this you might need a hair dryer or a can of freeze mist.
I believe the left side is your high-voltage section.
you can also let it warm-up without the fan .. let it shut down and feel parts with set unplugged to see what is running hot.
