Before you can use a branded mobile phone with another network, you have to unlock the phone from the network to which it is currently locked. Also, unlocking the phone in most cases does not guarantee a 100% performance. You might still experience little problems ranging from poor network reception to failure in SIM detection. If you want to go ahead with the unlocking, you have to send it to a local repair store that would help you unlock it. Also, there are some other websites that provide the unlock code of your phone in exchange for little charges. you can only obtain these codes by sending the phone to a repairer. There is a possibility your phone is still partially locked to the former network.

hello there....well its quite simple...to unlock the phone to any network you need to call the customer care of your original network provider( Orange) ....this is a paid service and charges differ from network to network
cheaper to do it with local mobile shop for around 5ukp....but orange is recommended
This is not a security code, but it may work like one! To help combat mobile phone thefts, the networks share a database of the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of mobile phones that have been reported stolen. Once a phone is on this list, it will not be allowed to use any of the networks.
This can be a risk if you buy a second-hand phone, because if it has been stolen, or if an unscrupulous seller makes an insurance claim after selling, the phone you bought in good faith may be permanently disabled.
Be very careful to check the source of a second-hand phone!
The only way to reset/unlock your phone is using a clip/device manually.
