- nail lady: OS means Operating System - for example, Windows XP, or Windows Vista. If you follow either of my links, it will lead you to the HP page that asks what your OS is. Just choose the one on your computer, and it will provide the drivers. Just download, and click on to install. During the course of the install, it will tell you when to plug the USB cable from the printer into the computer - DON"T plug it in until it tells you to. Hope this helps.
