I have a minolta DI550 copier with this error. The laser unit has been replaced, and the wingnuts? removed. Where do I go from here?

- My tech said that there was an adjustment procedure that he did, and a few things that had to be reset. He said it did not do anything.

So, I guess I would say, yes.

That is strange. The error is a laser intensity adjustment failure (which I'm sure you already know).

Could be a dirty sensor somewhere that reads the printed pattern during the adjustment process.

Has he cleaned / vacuumed out the drum carriage, etc?

Have all of the write unit adjustments been performed?

There is a small IC board under a cover in the optical secsion near the scanner, open the cover and change that small board, its called IC something, If ya need further info let me know, Ill look up the part #
