Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
I just added 512MB RAM to my laptop and a new Wireless card. It was working great and then I started to have horizontal flashing lines and the the display would flutter up and down. I started it in Safe Mode and it worked great. So I'm convinced it is not hardware. I tried to find a driver for this model and have had no success. Panasonic CF-48X4KNUQM Win 2/K Pro Pent 4 M 1.8Ghz 768MB RAM. Any help would be great. Thanks
How come when i get on the internet i cant go to any sites or click and remove pages

I used to have a CF-50 so i know they are good laptops.
The actual screen may be going out or the built in graphics card might be getting flakey.
I would back up all your information somewhere and use the recovery CD to re-install windows on the system. Once you do that, before installing anything, see if it still does it.
If not, then it was a software issue probably form an update, ATI catalyst recked havock on two of my computers and several of my frineds, once we un-installed it, everything returned to normal.
Now if it is still doing this, it is most likely a hardware issue.
If its fine in safe mode, then it may be that your laptop is overheating and when that happens, apps freez, screens flicker and programs act funny.
Make sure you dont obstruct the airflow into the fan, keep it on a flat, hard surface. More surface area means quicker displacement of the heat from the laptop to whatever its sitting on, thus keeping things cool.
They also sell laptop coolers at office depo and wallmart i think,
Try letting the laptop cool down for an hour and then starting it normally and loging into windows as normal, Does it do it right away or after a godd ten minutes of running apps and surfing the web? If so , its probably a overheating issue.
Hardware is expensive so if the screen goes out, good luck gettng one cheap. If its still under warranty, take it in, dont delay, thats what the warranty is for.
Hope this helps.
