The easist way to adjust drivers is to right click on my computer and select device manager. then to to device manager in the left hand side. From there you should see a list on the right. There will be a Audio controllers that you can expand. You can the double click on it and update the driver or adjust the settings to your liking.

I re install windows xp to a nec pc but audio driver and ethernet contoller wasn't installed

Install a Device Identify program such as Unknown Device Identifier . After running the program, identify the audio and ethernet devices and go to the manufacturer's website to download the appropriate drivers to a flash drive or CD. Then insert the CD or flash drive in your NEC machine and reboot. The devices are plug and play and should install themselves. If they don't go to the Device Manager and do a Search, choosing the CD or flash drive as the source.

Sound not working

I'm assuming you using a Microsoft Operating System "Win Xp, Win 7 and/or Vista".
If so they have a Free sound trouble shooter tool call Mats_Run.AudioPlayback.exe it will help locate and check your sound problems.

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";}

What it fixes:

  • Identify if the correct audio services are running
  • Identify if your audio device is disabled or turned off in Windows
  • Identify if your audio device is muted
  • Identify if the volume of your audio device is set too low to hear
  • Identify if the audio device is not set as default
  • Determine if your audio device is plugged in
  • You receive an error that states: There might be a problem with your audio device

To get it click link: http://support.microsoft.com/fixit

1. As you can see there is 5 different Fix it's the one you want should the 3rd one down called "Diagnose and repair sound play back problems automatically" (Or you can just click this link to go straight to it)

2. Click on the "Big Green Run Now button", save to your desktop (easier to locate).

3. Look for the Little man with the blue hat holding a wrench, click on him.

4. It should be open now:
  • Click the Run button to launch the file
  • Click the Continue and/or Allow button to proceed
  • Let it run to locate problem and fix it.
Thanks for choosing FixYa, If you find this helpful please vote and comment.

Pls help me with my sound,i cant listen to music.i reinstalled window XP and thenwhen the system finaly came up i found out that i can no longer hear any sound when i try to play an audio cd

You need to install the audio driver to hear sounds. You need to identify the audio card and if you do not have the audio driver CD, then you can download it from the manufacturers WEB site.

No multimedia audio controller in my computer

You will need to identify your Audio controller and manually download and install the appropriate drivers. You may be able to see this information under the "device manager" settings. Otherwise, you will need to visit the driver sites for one or all of the following:
  1. audio card manufacturers site
  2. Motherboard manufacturers site
  3. PC manufacturers site
I would not suggest using any Driver Download programs such as driveragent, because these products rely on your OS to recognize and identify the missing components. If your device manager does not have it listed, then the program will not see it.
