i have a samsung s1065, its brand new i've only had it for a month, every now and again the lense gets stuck and the camera won't turn on, in the past i have just removed the batteries, put them straight back in pressed the on/off button and it goes back to normal but that no longer works, i haven't dropped it so i know its not due to impact, is there anyway i can fix it myself?

My lens is stuck!

Sometimes this can happen if the battery cover was accidentally opened while the lens was moving. Try something simple. Turn the camera off. Open the battery cover and remove the batteries for 5 minutes. replace the batteries and secure the cover. Turn on the camera. The lens should go to it's home position. Let me know if this helps. And thanks for coming to FixYa. Don't forget to rate my answer!

Polaroid i735 Camera won't turn on. Lens stuck.

I had the same problem, and fixed it by wiggling the lens a little, when turning it on.
After a few tries, it finally wiggled free, and the lens retracted.

Your lens is stuck. You should contact the buyer and ask for a warranty or replacement. If they can't, try getting a service manual and it shold tell you how to fix it.

Lens stuck on i830 polaroid digital camera

Gently pull on the lens when its trying to extend, you may be able to get it back on track. This is by far the weakest point on any camera that has a retractable lens. So much that Olympus sold a lens guard/adapter for their C5050 that was basically a screw on tube that was the length of the extended lens and people bought it just to protect their extended lens.

Lens stuck open

In a nutshell, this error happens when the lens gets stuck while trying to extend and comes slightly out of alignment. Particularly if it's been dropped while open. The lens gets stuck in the extended position, and refuses to move either to focus the lens or to retract when powered off.

If your camera is still under warranty, the best thing you can do have Polaroid should fix it. If your camera is out of warranty, or if Polaroid refuses to repair it for free, the one thing you can try is to If you gently, and I do mean GENTLY push against the lens with the PALM of your hand as you turn it on, it may cause it to depress back into the camera. If that doesn't work, and you can't reset it or turn it on/off several times, then you may have to send it in for a repair estimate anyway.
