Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Paper jam I tried to copy onto transfer paper that I thought was ok for my printer. It wasn't. I have a crumpled sticky mess inside my printer. It is wadded up in the middle where I can't reach it from the front openngs or the back openings. Is there another release lever or is this a job for a professional?

Paper mismatch officejet 6500 crumples

There could be a foreign object or torn piece of paper that's stuck further inside the printer mechanism path. Try using a flashlight and inspecting any access or clean out hatches. Sometimes something will be caught inside and cause the paper you feed in to crumple and create a jam. I watched a video on youtube giving different ideas on how to fix this problem. Printer will no longer pull paper through or paper jams

There is a blockage. Open the cover and try pushing a single sheet of paper through, this will allow you to identify where it is being blocked. Usually comes from a previous paper jam or something sticky having not completed the cycle, such as a mailing lable. Once identified, a thin letter opener should help you unblock it.

Bad heat roll drive gear in the fuser. Very common problem.
Look up on google a business called "The Parts Drop". Ask for Britt, part is $13 or $14.

Error 13-jam paper HP Laser 4+

HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus and 4m Plus Series Printers - False Error Message 13 PAPER JAM ISSUE: After clearing all jammed paper from the HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus, or 4m Plus series printer, the display still reads 13 Paper Jam . Even after cycling the power off and then back on, the error remains. SOLUTION: Open the rear door of the printer. There is a paper sensor near the upper right hand corner of the fusing assembly (just below the right edge of the long yellow warning sticker on the fuser) that can cause paper jam error messages even when there is no jammed paper in the printer. Toggle the thin black plastic lever up and down to make sure it is not stuck or sticky. The lever should be in the down position before closing the back of the printer. If the lever is stuck or missing, the printer will generate a false paper jam message. Hope it will help you !
