Question about Epson Stylus CX6600 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a SyncMaster930 Samsung computer and use Microsoft Windows XP. My printer is a Epson Stylus Cx6600.
When I hit the B&W button to try to print black and white, it tells me the settings are not appropriate. Thus, even when I am printing something that is already black and white, it takes a very long time because it is acting as if it is printing color. Another example is if I am printing black and white with minimal (one line of color) and I want it all black and white. It tells me I have the settings are inappropriate and will overrule or otherwise not print black and white.
Months ago, I got a message from you (I believe) or researched the problem myself and if memory serves me, I had to go into my computer to set the settings for black and white. It seemed like a cumbersome, tiresome thing to have to do each time, but that seemed to be the resolution. However, I lost those instructions.
Can you help me out, or even give me an easier way to do it. I don't suppose there is an easy way to do it on the printer itself. Which leads me to a question: If you can't switch from Color to B&W by pushing one of those two buttons, what is the purpose of those buttons.
Will appreciate any help I can get. I'm at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Go into printer, properties, and printer quality. You will be able to find the b&w, or (grayscale), and just check it. And unfortunately, your model is one where you have to go in to change every time you print at different times...meaning if you print one after another, you do not need to recheck:)
