Unwanted Horizontal lines across the printed page

Every time I print a page, I get 3 horizonbtal lines across the page dividing the page into 3 roughly equal sections. I have tried the cleaning page a couple of times but nothing removes them. Chatsworth9

But is there any solution I can try to identify which one of those things is causing it and can the average person fix any of the 3? For example, should I try replacing the toner cartridge? But if that doesn't solve the problem, did I just waste the old cartridge or can I reinstall it? I don't even know where the transfer roller is or whether it can be cleaned? Chatsworth9

Sorry, I did not click on the links before rating, and this was quite a lot of pertinent information. I would change my rating to Fixya for this guest's solution. Chatsworht9

Problem is either Laser, Toner cartridge or transfer roller.

This is definetelyh a toner cartridge problem. Replace the cartridge and the problem will stop. I doubt this is a fuser problem.

Solve horizontal line in cartage 12A

Horisontal line: I assume you mean a line across the paper movement direction. Please, inspect if the line is repeating on exact distance from one to the other. Measure the distance, divide by Pi (3.14) and you'll get the diameter of the faulty roller. Also, please, make a half print test page (open the cover in the middle of the printing process). Inspect if the line is appearing before the fusing unit or after it.
Try printing with different cartridge, just to be sure the cartrige is causing the problem.
Primary charge roller and its bearrings can be dirty and not charging enough the drum, causing black lines
Weared stripe on the OPC drum caused by friction with jammed paper improperly pulled out can also be the root of the problem. Faulty laser-scanner unit can also write black lines randomly. Weared teflon sleeve on the fusing unit can accumulate toner and print repetitive defects.

Unwanted colour lines on prints

It may be time for a new printer. Colored lines are often an indicator that the printhead is worn out. Dark smudges on the back of the print are likely just a need for cleaning the inside.

Getting horizontal red streaks across printed page

The drum roller is damaged. You must be careful and spin the cylinder. do not touch the roller. You probably have a line in the roller that causes this issue. Each time i have seen this problem, this was the cause.

The problem is waste ink around head sprayer (at (bottom plate of head). Turn of printer. Move head to center. Put wet tissue (with hot water) at head cleaning mechanic pad. Move head to parking position. wait till 10 minutes. check it. You can repeat 3 times.

Hp laserjet 4 plus - keep getting a horizontal black line

yes you have to catch printer making the line and then as a page is being printed you need to open door to stop paper after green cylinder(drum) as it is entering fuser, then you need to remove paper from printer without pulling through the fuser, if you see the line then rub your finger across line up and down page, if it smears at all then its the cartridge if not then the fuser
