My emachine will connect to network but does not

My emachine(D 520-2890) will connect to network but does not connect to internet?

    it's wireless and it was working fine. when i try to connect to internet it say's unable to display page. when I check for network connections it say that is connected to my network and all othes computer can connect to the internet. I went on the command promp and ping yahoo and it work fine. I install firefox and it did the same. Help Please

Hi, is it wireless or wired?
If it is wireless you need to tell the router .
What router do you have.
You need to open up a web browser and input the ip address for the router, which should be in the manual.

    Hi,give this a try -
    Turn everything off - Modem,Router and PC
    Turn on each one in turn and wait a minute between each.
    Start with Modem then router then PC
    Let me know what happens

maybe you should go through the control panel to the internet/network page, then to the network and sharing centre to view and manage your connections. You should identify your network and verify if the connection is alright. If not click on connect and put in your security code to activate a connection. Once activated, you should be able to use the internet facility.

welcome to Fixya. Try the Fn+F2 combination. This will turn on/off the wireless network. You should see the wireless connection icon on your system tray. Just double click on it and connect to your specific network.

Your eMachines computer has an integrated network card, not a pci type of card.

It is a 10/100/100 network, so it will work well with both personal and business class internet services at high speeds.

Now, if you wish to go wirelessly to the internet, then you will need to get a wireless network adapter.

Those usually go for around 30-40 dollars at WalMart.

If the local area connection icon specifies as network cable unplugged, then the computer has not sensed the connection between the computer to the cable modem / DSL modem, please reseat the cable behind the cable / dsl modem to the computer. If the icon still shows unplugged, then change the network cable between the two.

If the issue still persists, please revert with more details lik the kind of internet connection used and the reason for reinstalling.

WPA is not very stable and I have seen many problems with this. Simply change router setting to be configured with WEP and use a good strong password in hex 0-9 and a-f . WPA is horrible any way, and who the heck is gonna sit out side your home to hack it? It is not a WIN 7 problem but more like aging encryption.

You have to enable Internet/network  sharing in your network setup you must set it all up first, in "Network & Sharing Centre" Right Click on network  icon in quick launch.

The wireless network may be encrpyted with a wep password. So you will need to check this in the network when you see the detected network click connect. you will be promted for a wep password.

Second thing you will need to check if you must specify and ip address. a subnet and a gateway address or leave it dynamic that is it will find an Ip address and everything automatically by itself.

Ip config is not finding my ip address?
No IP address? most likely the network is diable or the network card drive is deleted.
right click on the network icon>>porperties. if you see a network icon then right click on it and enable the network, if not, then the network driver is deleted.
go to control panel>>system>>hardware device, and see if there is a (red X) on the nework card.
go to the vendors website and download the network driver.

E machine T6216 won't connect to Internet anymore
Go in device manager and find the network card drivers rolback the drivers then restart PC if that is not wor rinstal the drivers
