Open a text message then on the bottom of the screen look for the word options. Key to the word and click enter to open the options menu. Then key to delete and you phone will ask you if you want to delete the message and you respond by keying enter. You have to do this with each message.

How do I delete my text messages after I've read them? My phone is just a simple Motorola RAZR, several years old.

Go to inbox select the particular message you want to delete and go to options and select delete. You can also press the key marked C after selecting the message to be deleted and then confirm delete in both cases.
Hope this was helpful.

My motorola keeps saying the text inbox is full and wont accept incomming text messages

If the text inbox is full, just go into it, & delete the old messages that you don't need to save. The phone will only save so many bits of information, before it is full, & will stop saving messages.

Text messages - how to delete?

I have seen this problem alot. I will give you two different solutions, the second worked best for me. The first is to remove your SIM card and leave it out for a few seconds then put it back in. From what I know, phones with SIM cards save the messages to the sim card and the other saves them to the phone. The second which works good for me, it a product called Motorola phone tools, it comes with the software, data cable, if you have a computer this will cost you a few dollars, but check around I bought mine for $30.00.
