The buttoms on the left side of the player are not working.
Yes, I think opening up the battery compartment, taking it out and putting it back in is the best solution! Try calling the manufacturer's helpdesk if that fails, so maybe you can send it in for repair.

Only thin i can think of doing is opening the back and seeing that everything is connected.
