The same exact thing happened in the middle of my phone, and shortly after to my aunt's LG VU as well.... it might e a common problem. I just bought a mirror screen protector off of Amazon and it covers it and makes the phone look better....I don't know how to fix it though. May have to get it replaced =/

Black spot in the middle of the screen looks like it has a burned spot

Yes if it uses 3 picture tubes one is burnt dead center--cover the lens one at a time to see which is causing this--permanent damage caused by a arc.

If a newer set you have a display unit with a dead pixel.

My Htc Touch pro screen, looks like it has a large wet spot in the middle, i know for a fact it hasn't been near water, my screen is totally visable but not able to use by touching the screen, what could...

I suggest taking it to your compaany store but before you go to the store and have them tell u the phone is water damaged, you can save yourself the trip by looking for yourself. There should be a little square located in the back of you phone right below the battery and a little square locatedd on the batery where it connects to the phone. If the phone has water damage then the littl e squares should be red if they dont have water damage, the squares should be white with a plaid kind of design.

White oval spot in center of screen on garmin 2720 gps

The touch screen is made up of several layers. A thin plastic layer, a micro thin metal layer, microdots for insulators, another thin metal layer, and a final plastic layer. All of these layers amount to the thickness of a sheet of paper. This whole stack is bonded to a thin sheet of glass and placed over the actual TFT display.

If the touch screen is still working the moisture probably isn't between the layers. My guess is moisture got through one of the gaskets and made it's way in between the touch screen assembly and the TFT display.

If you want to clean it:
Remove the six screw holding the case together.
Split the cases and pull the patch antenna out of it's slot.
Remove the four silver screws holding the display assembly into the front bezel.
Unhook the small ribbon cable that goes to the infrared receiver under the red lens.
Pull the display assembly out of the front bezel. It won't come all the way out because of cables.
Use a razor to cut the plastic tape holding the touch screen bracket to the TFT display.
Unlatch the 4 conductor ribbon connector nestled between the 2 big white wires.
Use a penknife to unbend the metal tabs keeping the touch screen from coming loose. I usually just do the ones by the IR receiver.

Now that the touch screen is in your hand you can carefully clean the moisture from between the two assemblies. The gaskets are tricky to install again but it can be done, maybe you'll see where they were leaking.

Calibrate touch screen

Actually, the red cross's movement is part of the calibration. Continue clicking each individual red cross until you get a confirmation notion notice.

In order to calibrate the touch screen, the DS needs to know where certain areas of the touch screen are relative to the actual display. Basically, you're not really controlling the display. You are interacting with a hidden interface, which is the touch screen. But in order for you to "interact" with what you are seeing, the touch screen is laid across the display.

Gray spots on screen on a JVC HDILA model HD 56G 787

The gray spots are caused by dust on your lens, very easy to clean.

Power down the TV.

If you open the right side access panel (right side as you are looking at the front of the TV) you can see it in the middle, it's not very big. Using a scratch/lint free cloth, gently wipe off the lens or use a vacuum to **** up the dust being careful not to actually touch the lens.

Replace the access panel and enjoy your spot free screen.
