Denon D-C30 Hello, Lost in house move, speaker cables for Denon HiFi System. Could you please advise the type of speaker cables required for this specific system.I have no idea about electrical connections and am lost without my system. I know this is probably a simple solution but l am without knowledge so therefore your help would be much appreciated. Anne

I dont know this system specially, but the speaker cables are usually heavy double cables with plugs on each end.

I would suggest that you visit a Dick Smith store and ask to see what speaker cables they have available...they are pretty standard its just the length and the plug socket match you need to make for the Denon model you have,

The speaker cables has "banana

If they're a fixed spacing that doesn't match the spacing of the black and red speaker terminals you'll need to either chop them off and replace them with individual tips or just wrap the twisted bare wire ends around the base of each post and crank 'em down. Make sure no strands are touching anything but the intended post.

14-gauge lamp cord still works fine.

How to fit QED speaker cables to the denon dm38 system

From the picture the Denon seems to have a pretty ordinary and commonly-used speaker binding post. What is it about your speaker cables that doesn't work with them?

Do you really think a high-priced boutique speaker cable will yield audibly superior sound? On a 30-watt microsystem?

I'd use 16-gauge lamp cord and save a lot of money.

The tape deck of my Denon D-C30 is'nt working, the drive belt is broken and when I switch on there is a clicking noise coming from the tape deck this stops after about 10 seconds and I can play the other ...

Actually when you switch on the system the set is trying to get back to rest mode but is not able as the motor dirve is not working due to the belt failure. The mode switch must be reset by the loading motor so that the system comes to a normal halt. So because this is not happening you must try to turn the mode switch to rest. Once this is done on switch on you will be able to get access to any mode but if would be good iff you can get the belt replaced so that on switch on the mode switch is reconfirmed. If you dont get any belt use a similar type of a band/ rubber /cord so as to make it run. So check this out. Good day

DC30 Denon cassette deck Drive belt broken Are spares available? Are there instruction on how to replace drive belts?

Hi J,

Sorry no solution for you. But I was wondering if you managed to fix yours. My D-C30 just has the same issue. 10 seconds of clicking and reading on another thread it sounds like the drive belt is broken and needs fixing.

Did you manage to find any instructions or spares etc to do this?

Denon D-90 Hi Fi - have lost interconnetion leads

Gents - not sure where you live, but try these UK links. The D65 was a similar system produced a year or two earlier, if the cable is 15 pin my bet is it is the same cable. Good luck, better look after my cables carefully!

The protection is activating.
Try it without the speakers.
If the problem persists, the output stage could be faulty.
If it works without the speakers check the leads.
