Check if the fast forward button is more inside than the rest of the buttons. May be its stuck in the ff position. After all they were just micro switches below the plastic buttons strip. The specific ff micro switch may be stuck, if I were you I would try some switch cleaning spray to loosen it. But be prepared that the control ic is busted.
It is likely that either the drive belt has broken or is slipping. Because the unit is still in "play" mode, the mechanism won't let the door open up. If you have not opened up these units before, do not attempt it now. This unit should be taken to an experienced tech for repair. Where are you located?
Way to go. Usually if you use anisotropic Alcohol with a few Q-tips works well I've found. Try cleaning the other tap path items like the capstan that the pinch roller get's pushed up to also with this Alcohol. The cleaner the better the tape goes through. Much better picture. When you put the player into rewind, is it at the beginning of the tape that it ejects? If so, it may be because you have the machine in timer mode. If you have a pre-recorded tape in a VCR, it will automatically eject the tape because you`ve not to record on a pre-recorded tape. I hope this help, Ian
sorry to say that none.no trip button for that.i assumed that the magnetic strip of the tape is already wind up inside.you'll need to open the unit up and gently rotate the flywheel of the tape player until you can open the door of the tape compartment.no need to force or it will just break.
